It needs at least a one sentence description of every storm to be a start.--Nilfanion (talk) 09:21, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All the infoboxes have been updated, with tracks included. Now the other 31 storm summaries need to be added to get this to Start class. Thegreatdr (talk) 00:56, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wind speeds

[edit]

Does everyone want to use 10-minute wind speeds for earlier west Pacific articles like this one? I figured it would be 1-minute for all the years named by JTWC and 10-minute for 2000-present. Good kitty 20:08, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting question, perhaps one not appropriate for this page. I don't have a strong stance on the topic in either way. On one hand, the JTWC intensity estimates appear more reliable, and their reports have great amounts of information from 1959 to 1999. On the other hand, JTWC has never (to my knowledge) been the official warning agency for the WPAC, and JMA, being the current official warning agency, has a best track back to 1951. --Hurricanehink (talk) 23:16, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This question has been answered by the new infoboxes used for tropical cyclones (at least I think so.) Were you all talking about in the main box on top, or elsewhere within the article? Thegreatdr (talk) 20:23, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
